What is League of Legends Wild Rift?
One of the most anticipated mobile games this 2020 is the port of the famous MOBA League of Legends(LoL). LoL was first released in 2009 on PC and has taken the MOBA gaming by storm. However, with the rise of mobile gaming, comes a need to port LoL into mobile gaming.
Even if games like Honor of Kings(Wangzhe Rongyao), Vainglory, Mobile legends and Arena of Valor have captured the hearts of many MOBA fans, there is still a hole in our hearts that only a true port of LoL can fill. Fortunately last 2019, RIOT games announced that they are creating a League of Legends mobile game. It is not a port of the PC game but rather inspired by it. The game is called League of Legends:Wild Rift.
What’s the difference between Mobile and PC?
Wild Rift is expected to have the same heroes as in LoL PC but not all 145 champions at release. As of the time of writing, there are 22 heroes confirmed for the game. Craftable items like the weapons and armors were not confirmed. The overall gameplay should be the same but unlike LoL PC, matches in Wild rift is expected to be only around 15-18 minutes.
As of the time of this writing, RIOT has not confirmed an exact date for Wild Rift. Communications lead for Wild Rift, Ben Forbes, posted a tweet that they are going to provide a dev update on their Youtube channel, https://www.youtube.com/wildrift. We will update this post as soon as we have good news!
